By visiting this site, you are getting ready to take your first steps to making that business dream a reality.
Step 1
Not in Business? Kickstart your business life with our seminar.
Entreprenuers are an impatient lot! But you don't have to wait long to get started.
Every week we have seminars to help get you up to speed and to help you get ready to work with us most effectively. The seminars are held on Thursday evenings at various places throughout the metro to make it as convenient as possible. Nuts and Bolts of Going Into Business You have new bosses now, and they are government rules and regulations, and some structure and organization needs to consider. We go all the way from legal structure, tax id, sales tax, employees, insurance needs, merchant accounts all the way to bar codes and trademarks. $20 material fee. How To Get Money For Your Business Pretty much what the title says. We go over how getting a business loan is different from any other lending you’ve ever done; what a lender needs to see; and how to put together a business plan. $20 material fee.
Step 2
Individual Consultation
The seminars deal with items that are common to every start up business so that we have more individualized consultation time available to work on specific needs and issues for your business.
Because of the seminars, you’ll be more prepared, and your consultant will likely ask you to bring your “best effort” business plan draft, some personal financial information, and so forth.
Step 3
Write a Business Plan
This is not as bad as you think!!!! You will not be writing a huge book. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy business planning software. Really, save your money! We can make this a lot easier than you think. We’d recommend the How To Get Money seminar, where we go over the commercial lending process as well as how to get started on that plan. Even if you don’t need money today, it’s not a bad idea to know about commercial lending for the future.

He has been working with the OSBDC in making this product go from dream to reality. While his product started out specifically for the film trade, there are many applications and now new product offshoots for others!
